Anybody else got a whistling noise coming from the engine (with no engine mods)? It sounds like the same whistling that came from the Berk intake I had on my 2k.

 

I have not heard it on my 2k2.

 

yeah Ive got that same whistling noise coming from my engine. I dont think there is anything wrong with it,I think its coming from the intake. I actually like the sound though, kinda sounds like a turbo, but very quite

 

Yeah, I kinda like it too. I feel like I've got a jet engine under the hood! I guess the .org has just made me paranoid about these kinda things.

 

ive got a noise i'd call a "whining" that i can only hear with no music playing and the windows up while cruising at a steady speed. if i let off the gas the whining goes away.

 

my auto 2002 max exhibits the same phenomena that you guys are talking about. the whining is more pronounced when accelerating normally in lower gears, right?...if you throttle enough to engange a shift at around 2500-3000 rpms. i took it to several dealers and they told me it was normal...i took it to my mechanic who said the noise was coming from the transmission bearings, but nothing can really be done about it what do you guys think?
