Freakin PI$$ED at Centerline !!! :(

I just got a call from the place I ordered my wheels. Centerline told them they now only make the 19 inch Dynos in a 7 inch width ! WTF ! ...7.5 was narrow enough, who would buy a 19 X 7 wheel ! Back to square one ! I must have 19's.. might have to settle for something silver... Screw Centerline !

That's what I was saying in that other thread. The rims are designed for Honda Civics.

Just keep your wheels

I think the factory 17s look real good. Too bad they are only 7" wide.

If I were you, I would get Borbet type Es, or Racing Hart C5s, the one WITHOUT the rivets.

Damn Klooger, we out then on centerline. I was thinking of getting the Excels, but maybe they only make that in a 7" also.

I am pretty much to the point where I may be going to 18" now.

Ok guys. Im down to these . Moda R6 , or Mille Migs Evo's , both in 19's silver... I asked about SSR GT3's just to see if they are within what Im willing to spend. Please save your Boat Anchor comments... Yes I have been cranky Thickness.... I finally decided on a wheel, that was pretty expensive, and now this ! .... Thats ok, you make everything better !

You should really look into Boyd Coddington wheels, search on the web, great quality wheels with awesome finish and not too expensive.

What's that fascination with 19" rims, besides looking ghetto; what do the 19" wheels add ? The car will ride horribly, not to mention the weight they add. IMHO, I think the Max looks best with 17" or 18" wheels with a 1.5" drop.

I guess I want to look " GHETTO " . Every time I go play golf, and I see a guy in a Benz or lexus or Beemer, on 19's or 20's.. Im reminded of how I feel like Im in the Ghetto in that parking lot. Take a look through the ORG. There are a lot of guys with 19's that look awesome. If you want to label it ghetto so be it. I hope I look GHETTO to you, when I get my wheels !

They do ride like crap though....on my suspension anyhow. I am happy with my 18"s. Although they are sometimes too rough for me too.

Have you talked to Bryan @ Berk yet? He got me a pretty good deal on my C5s....

It's time to learn this lesson in life: size matters. 19's look better than 17's, not to mention they look better. And chrome is the ****. Yup that's pretty "ghetto."

Dude, don't take it personal, the 19" wheels may look good on some cars, but I think they compromise the ride and handling too much. Furthermore, one of the nice aspects of the Maxima is its sporty handling and performance, why ruin them just to look good. Again that's my opinion.

It sure is. Im not taking it personal. Im just tired of all these GHETTO comments. I cant think of too many Ghetto people that can afford to drop 3K on wheels . ASU, I like your wheels, but too many Accords have them here in San Diego. I loved them when I saw them, and Bryan is giving me a great deal on 19's.... I will keep you guys posted....

For all you 19 inch wheel bashers out there...Have you put 19's on your max and hated the ride, or are you just assuming. My car rides fine, in fact very close to stock with my 19's so i dont understand all these "rides like crap" comments. Maybe our roads in vancouver are much better than most.

Kloogy, between those two wheels i would go with the r6. If cash is not the issue the oz superleggera 3 piece are soooooooo sweet, i wish i could have got them instead of the 1 piece forged.

Kloogy heres a thought about the Moda's. One Moda R6 18x8 45mm offset weigh 29lbs without tires! I can only imagine that the 19's are at least 32lbs!

I am a 19" wheel basher. And yes I USED to have them. And yes they rode tike CRAP-O-LA.

Kloogy- I wasn't implying for you to get the wheels I have- afterall, I DO have the exlusive Maxima.org rights to the C5s. I was just saying talk to Bryan and see if he can hook you up with a 19" wheel of your discretion.

Don't know about San Diego, but around here, I see lots of very young men (teenagers, early 20s) rolling around in old Caprices, LTDs, Buicks, Towncars, and the like with 20 inch rims and tires. They are worth much, much more than the beaters they are mounted on. That is ghetto.

Stock Ride?

I dunno about having a comfortable ride. Even though I only have 17" stock (maybe go 18" down the line), the ride is bumpy as he||. Maybe it's just that I drive too fast on local NyC streets. Gotta love the trucks that seem like tipping over cuz of da potholes.

The Hagen 19's are sweet. I should have mine in about 2 weeks, 19 x 7.5. No chrome for me, I went with the hypersilver!

It may be Kloogy's car, but he's representing Maximas when he rolls by with ghetto chrome 19s, and that hurts us all.

If you're looking to spend some money, get some nice Volks in 18X8.5 or even 18X9.5. They're light-weight, sporty, and best of all, non-ghetto.

I do represent MYSELF , when rolling . We all have opinions, just because someone put VOLK on it, doesnt mean it belongs on your Max. Thats an OPINION. Thanks for the feedback guys... I will keep you posted. I will be getting some prices back tomorrow. Semms to me most 19 owners love them. Thats enough for me !

Whiners! I have 18,000 miles on my 19's they ride fine. AND, they only weigh 27 lbs., but that's still too much.

Kloogy, did you check the other Centerlines out? I hope all the 19" Centerlines are not only available in 7" widths now! Were you going to put 235's on them??
