I would never pressure wash the engine bay, to many electrical things under there. Why do you need to pressure wash anyway??

How about just spray some engine degreaser on the dirty parts and then just let a hose, softly wash it away? A little less harsh.

ever drive behind someone in a rainstorm? an awful lot of water enters the engine bay... do you worry about water messing up anything? if you're going to use a pressure spray, just use your head. don't hold the water spray on anything for a long period of time. use a sweep, sweep, motion and you should be fine. also, do not hold the nozzle close to anything... spray it from a good 2-3 foot back.

I would use the Wal Mart type pressure sprayer- like 1300 psi. Anything more will Don't get the Home Depot one that will etch concrete. It'll put a hole through plastic.....
