2004 Maxima on Edmunds.com

Don't know if it's already been posted on here. I for one, haven't seen it yet. But on Edmunds.com, they've varified the pics that were on the org a while ago. Saying that the 2K4 Maxima is already on the streets around their headquarters (for testing purposes I would imagine). Here they don't have any information on the specs, except for the fact that it's still going to be powered by the 3.5L engine.

http://www.edmunds.com/future/2004/n...n/preview.html

Again, sorry if it's already been posted, just making sure that you guys saw it.

They're putting the 3.5 in so many new Nissan products (G35, 350Z, Altima, Murano...) I only expected it. I wonder how much power they'll tune this one to.

I'm gonna go with 287HP (same as the 350). Then I bet the Altima will jump to 255.

That's pretty cool that Edmunds did a writeup on his spy shots. He's a celebrity!

And I will be buying the G35 in the future if that is the new Max.

Haven't they heard of focus groups???

I agree with everyone else that is ugly... It looks to much like an Altima.. I hope that's not the new maxima but the new altima, if it is Nissan is making a big mistake...

If that big ole pimpmobile is the next Max, on to the three series for me. I'll get an E46, Dinan intake, Dinan Exhaust, drop that sucker, redo the audio(mmmmmm), instal Breytons with Michelins wrapped around and sell my 2K at a loss. No big ole pimpmobile for the Rubman. If I wanted a Caddy Altima, I would have bought it by now.

I hope not. That's how we ended up with the current crop of GM's and Fords...

And what's with all this new-edgy styling? I thought it was only cadillac coming up with it, but with the Focus, Matrix, Altima, Celica, et.al. they're really coming up with some fugly designs...

Maybe Nissan decided to hire the guy that designed the CTS so we can all look alike. I think the design of that Altimax is awful!!!
