You are the biggest post ***** I have ever seen.

There are plenty of threads on this. It depends on the dealer, but for the most part, anything suspension related will be void. There are federal laws protecting us from dealers voiding the warranty on unrelated things to the modification.

I agree. Don't go in expecting warranty work if you changed the suspension.

Just to clarify... the suspension parts you put on won't be warranted, but the un-modded rest of the car will retain it's warranty. If the dealer (or Nissan) can prove your suspension mod caused an unmodded part to fail, that could void warranty for that part.

For instance: an intake mod will obviously void warranty for the intake components it replaced and if Nissan says, and proves, it was poor quality and/or poorly installed, allowing the engine to ingest sand, bugs, water and such, they could void warranty on the MAF and engine internals, but they'd have to PROVE it. However, no matter how hard they tried they couldn't use that to void warranty on a transmission failure.

But then, the dealer has to protect themselves: if they perform work Nissan says was not covered they are out the money, so they may tend to be conservative. Your best strategy when dealing with them is to know your rights, know your mod and it's effects on the car, and maintain a good relationship with the service writer.
