Refinished Rims

I was just wondering if anyone has refinished their stock 17" rims due to curb rash. I was either considering refinishing the one rim that has curb rash or purchase a refinished one. To refinish my rim would cost $100 and to buy one is $175. Does anyone know about the quality of refinished rims? Should I be worried about refinishing or buying refinished rims? I am worried about the clear coat coming off from the salt on the roads....etc. Please help if you have any info. Thanks.

I recently got mine refinished. Came out pretty good. They come out looking like nothing ever happened to them. I got them done at a dealer so the cost was a little more. I didn't care because insurance covered it.

What did it end up costing the insurance company?
