My New LCD Screen!
My New LCD Screen!
Hey Guys, I guess to me, it's not so new. I installed it about a week or two and only got around to taking pics tonight. I didn't want to be badgered with requests for pics until I had them
Anyways, I couldn't believe how easy it was to install this thing. The only convenient video source I had was a spare dreamcast lying around so that's what's been hooked up (In the process of finding a portable DVD player suitable to my tastes).
Bear with me on the pics, I couldn't quite get the flash settings right and I had poor light in the garage (thunderstorm outside
) but you'll get the idea. I was wary putting something with the brand name "Legacy" in the car but I must say I'm very pleased with the picture quality. It even has builtin speakers, but I ran the audio to a FM modulator. Crazy Taxi sounds pretty cool through the bose system
Anyway, if you guys have any questions, let me know. It was easy and cheap!
The best part of all of this - it was a NO-Drill installation. I did everything without physically drilling into the car. Now I did drill into some things - but those were custom made brackets that I fabbed up. All-in-all I'm very pleased and my friends love it!

P.S. Looks like I'll have to do these images in multiple posts so see pics below!

ha
thats the point, its not for the driver. Personally, I give him props.. I want one in a location that I can see, which is distracting and not entirely bright of me. Even a good driver can be distracted by it.. yeah, no more than a cell phone ringing.. But still, he did it the right way and will not get fined if stopped (alot of places are cracking down).
Thanks for the compliments guys! I actually knew that I wouldn't be able to view/play this thing while I was driving, so I didn't make the primary focus my ability to see it. Plus, like TimW said, I wanted it where no one could spot it (stealth) to keep it out of the eyes of would-be thieves and law enforcement officials both. I did however make it so that I could swivel it to be in my view if I was parked for a while and could watch it.
The glove box does close just like normal - that was another one of my goals - to keep everything as usable and stock as possible.
My shifter handle is the same color leather as my interior - kinda a "willow" color. I thought Max's were like that too...maybe not..
Anyway, thanks all!
