2003 LSD 6spd Wanted 1100 but def taking offers

 

Man, that's going to need some serious wirebush. What's the source of the trans and how long has it been out of the car? When you look into the axle opening, can you see clear through to the other side or does the diff. obstruct part of the opening?

 

out of 03max auction parts car. been out for a month or 2. and it is an lsd not open dif. If youd like a pic of axle opening to prove it i can def provide it tomorrow for you. and the coloring is because of lighting. ill take daylight pics tomorrow. its not discoloured how you see in these pics lol

 

some good pix would be great, I just want to make sure I'm getting an OK trans for the kind of money these things go for. There seems to be a lot of orange rust from the steel components and the aluminum cast seems to be a bit oxidized as well. I know trans tend to get that way, I'm just being picky.

Partly, I want the transmission to look good because it's going to be very visible in my car (old pic), more importantly, I want to be sure the insides weren't exposed to too much weather.

Anyway, I'm going to need to ship it to the Tampa area, where the car is, I also want to make sure you're willing to crate or pallet the trans and what you estimate the cost will be to ship. The destination zip is 34695, residential.

sorry extra busy, and selling parts off other cars. I took a few exterior pics while shifting stuff around in garage. Will take pic inside axle and few other spots on it today. sorry for delay

 

 

Looks pretty good. I'm still debating because I found an 04 6-sp in Ft. Lauderdale for $900+80ship. I don't know if it's LSD or not, so I'm waiting till Monday so I can get some pix. Obviously, the 04 is a better model, but I'd rather have LSD if theirs happens to be open. I'll let you know what happens.

The main problem is, I'm under a tight time constraint. I have a house (where the car is) in Tampa, but I'm now living/working in Pensacola, 8 hours away. Just got tenants who want the car gone, and for what they're paying, that's understandable. One way or another, I need the tranny sitting at my mom's house (also in Tampa) by Friday the 15th. I'm going to hop on a plane with all my hand tools and pop that f*ker on, as fast as possible, so that I can drive the red car 8 hours back and be at work on Monday the 18th.

 

Hey if you dont get the 6spd in ft laudy , send me the # please,

I wound up getting the 04 in Ft. Lauderdale. 2004 trans @ $900+$50 next-day shipping, couldn't pass up. Unfortunately, it turns out it's open diff (at least that's what I can see in the pic), but I'm fine with that, for now. I guess I have a Quaiffe in the future.
