2004 Maxima

My 2KSE wll be getting on in years in '05, & I was really excited to see teh new phptos of the next gen MAxi. I'd buy on the spot, however if I have tp put up with 4-5 more years of awkward FWD, I'll be looking elsewhere.

If Nissan is going to make a performance-oriented sports sedan, what in teh WORLD makes them think that FWD is desireable?

How about Infiniti? All Infiniti vehicles are going to be rear wheel drive.

I agree with you but I think Nissan will sell a lot more cars if the had to choose between RWD or FWD when it came to the 2004 Maxima. They are trying to please a larger demographic.

Therefore they chose FWD and added VDC, HLSD, and the rest of the alpahbet as standard.

Also keep in mind that Nissan probably didn't want to canabolize sales from the G35S. There is still a chance the 6th gen. Maxima will receive AWD as an option. If enough people complain and Nissan realizes they can make a profit by producing an AWD Maxima they will.

If infiniti has both rwd & fwd Im sure you could get a rather expensive conversion sone on the new max if it's that serious......
