2K4 information...made contact

Hello all,

I posted in a couple of threads already about seeing the 04 in person. I now have made contact with the person who drove the 04 I saw. Here are some things I've learned:

HP: I do not have a confirmed number, but I have been told that it may be around 260-265, again this is not confirmed.

Transmission: There will be 3 available: 4spd auto, 5spd auto, and 6-speed manual. I have been told that there is a manual shifting feature on the 5spd auto that works similar to the Acuras auto shifter.

What else do you want to know? I'll see if I can get some more answers or clarifications for you.

Later.

I don't understand why 2 types of auto trannies are being offered. For the mainstream buyer, they won't know or can't tell the difference between a 4 spd & 5 spd.
I believe Nissan will trim it down to a 5 spd auto.

Keep the questions coming. It will probably be Monday before I can get a response to these questions.

I will create a listing of questions from this thread and ask. This person said that they will try to answer as much as possible.

thanks.

More info on the 2K4

O.K.

Here's more info on the 2K4.

1) FWD
2) The interior material or process is made of the same materials in other vehicle, it should not be of lesser quality. Interior design, look, and feel are subjective.
3) I do not have a firm # on torque, hp, or weight.
4) SE and SL model available. 4spd Auto, 5spd Auto, and 6spd manual are options. Not sure if available in all trims.
5) Dual exhaust with 4-tips.
6) optional 17 and 18" wheels
7) Navigation system available.
8) January 5, 2003 is the official debut.

I may be able to get pictures soon.......
