Does anyone have an 04 Maxima with the Caffe Latte leather? If you do is the leather perforated or solid. The nissan website shows this as solid leather.

Caffe Latte.....OMG...Sissy leather.

 

I saw one today. It was not perforated. However, it was an SL. Near as I can tell, SE's have the back 2/3 of the seat perferorated, but the SL's are all solid leather.

 

...watch your remarks about "sissy" leather, dude.

Anyway, we have an SL with the so-called "caffe latte" leather and it is in fact solid, not perforated. Even the brouchure shows only the frost and black as perforated. I guess they wanted to give buyers an option. My wife (who is principal driver of the new car)doesn't like perforated. Of course I do, but she got what she wanted after all.

And to the "sissy" remark...I have an 02 SE with black and I do prefer the "strictly business" attitude black projects on an interior, but I admit that stepping into the light interior with wood-tone trim is a nice change. I had the windows bronze tinted and it makes the interior glow...very luxurious.

I love the look of black interior, especially leather, but I hate it when I get into the car on a summer day and burn my a@@ off!!!

 

could someone post pics of the perforated and the solid?

 

Maybe Nissan will soon introduce seat coolers along with the seat heaters!

 

The brochure has pics of the seats that are perforated; there are no pics of the caffe latte interior. They look pretty much like the solid seats from the 03 except for one less seam running the width of the bottom cushion toward the back. Sorry I don't have pics of mine.

I'm glad Nissan is giving customers a choice. I hate perforated leather and its almost impossible to find solid leather in a performance car today.

 

We got custom leather at the dealer. Same colors, solid, not perforated, and by doing it custom they will do the doors and the strip on the dash. Its to bad factory leather does not include the doors this year. That lite velvet stuff would have got dirty pretty quick with a few touchs from my 7 and 10 year old's hands.

 

are the brown cows not as tough as the black? lol

I think you should go with whatever looks good on your car.
