Well they had already taken the car out of their inventory when I signed the papers on Sunday. Then Monday when I brought the car back because they called with the old "good news and bad news" drill they took me in the little white room with the salesman, finance guy and finance manager and started with the "well can you do this? can you do that? what if we do this?". I was stern and told them what I was and was not willing to accept. So in order for me to take the car they had to give it to me for the 19k which is what we negotiated on including repairs they had to knock it down to probably 17k to include the repairs. It was the end of the month also and they were all trying to make their bonus.

They also gave me free oil changes for the next three years.
Man I had no idea a dealer would knock off that much...........paintless dent repair is wonderful......you would never believe what they can do with all those dents. Way to go, sounds like you got a great deal, just wait till all those dents are gone.........

Yea Carfax. If there has been hail damage, water damage or anything it will be on that report.

Side note..It was raining pretty bad this week in Atlanta so for WHATEVER REASON the dealership is saying this is causing a delay in getting my car and other cars finished. I thought I would have it yesterday, now they are saying end of the week. I'll be out of town from Friday until Tuesday though so look for pics sometime next week.

They are required to tell you it was hail damaged, but we know how dealers are at times--but its in their best intrest to do so or a good law suit will not be far behind!! I would also ask for a Carfax report!! That will tell you as well.

I do not think the reference to the Carfax report is accurate concerning the hail damaged Nissans. I went to an ebay posting for one of these hail damaged nissans. The posted serial number does not have a Carfax report. I am concerned because my Maxima was built in May 2003. I want to make sure that it was not one of the hail damaged cars. My car does not have a Carfax report, but I do not know if I can count on this (I do not trust car dealerships).

Thanks,

Okay...I hope I do this right. I've never posted pics here before. And YES THE CAR IS DIRTY! Sorry I couldn't clean it before I took the pictures. I had to do them when my friend was ready to take them since it was her camera. I was not able to take before photos but the car has been fully restored. The damage was done mostly to the passengers side, roof, trunk and hood of the car. There are a few parts that I will have to have replaced. These parts are the silver strip on the top of the car on the passengers side...and the rubber under the windows. It still looks damn good and I have already priced these items. It will probably cost me $250 with labor included to replace these parts. Which still isnt bad considering the vehicle had 17 miles on it when I bought it and the sale price was $19k.

Looks great - but in the second photo, is there a dent in the lip of the hood (just to the left of the "tooth", or is it just an odd reflection?

Sounds (and looks) like you got a super deal. A $19K Maxima. Wow.

If you don't mind, what's your last 6 digit of your VIN number? Thanks!

Looks great, was paintless dent repair able to take care of all the dents? Did you have any paint work? The reason I ask is I notice the 3.5 SE badges missing on the back of your max. Looks great, esp for the heavily discounted price....19 miles and only 19K.

Thanks...no I don't notice anything but the rubber molding around the window which I have priced to be about $100 for the part. Which doesn't bother me at all.

They want the last 5 digits of the VIN so they can tell if their cars were in the same batch.
