AWD maxima

AWD maxima
Maybe I'm dumb, but here is something that popped into my head....the maxima shares the same platform as the altima and the murano. The murano is AWD. Would it be feasible to make the maxima AWD by adapting some of the components from the murano's drive train? I'm not sure if it is, I just had the thought and wondered what anyone else might add to this conversation.
No flames please...I'm just thinking aloud.

I would immagine anything is possible. It would drive up the price to a point that would reduce sales dramatically I would immagine.
I think a look at the sales of the AWD BMW 330ix? would show you the kind of sales numbers they could expect. Its entirely possible the sales figures for the model vs. the cost to design and implement it would be unreasonable.

I wasn't speaking about nissan as a company...if they wanted to do that they would just use the skyline platform. I meant as a custom-type thing to do to it for someone that, say had $6000 just laying around...not that I do, but just wondering. My question is more about whether or not you could take the drivetrain from the murona and fit it to the maxima.

I thought we had all already taken a look at the JDM Nissan Teanna (which can use both AWD and the CVT) and pondered the possibility of a CVT AWD Maxima.
I think it would kick ***. Put some hotter cams on it, a standard transmission, new intake and exhaust, and you have a performance piece.

I saw a thread on a different forum where someone transplanted the nesisary components from an AWD Honda CRV into a newer civic and boosted the hell out of it. I figure it'd be possible given the right shop and enough money.
