To make the fogs (well they look like fogs) to stay on when the headlights are on. Anybody?

The fogs already stay on when the headlights are on. I'm assuming you're referring to the other mod where the fogs stay on when the 'parking' lights are on. Haven't done it, yet I would like to do this as well. You can do a web search and find instructions on how to do it on the 4th and 5th gens, I believe, but I have yet to find any instructions on how to do this for the 6th gen.

Unless you are talking about the cornering lights down below...

The foglights are actually inside the headlight casing.

2k4 Maximas use an in vehicle CAN, so the switch is not hardwired to the lights.

Cliff's notes:
1) Combination light switch are low-current switches that connect to the Body Control Module (BCM).
2) BCM sends message over vehicle network to IPDM-ER (Intelligent Power Distribution Module - Engine Room) to activate/deactivate fog lamps. Fog lamp operation is programmed in to the BCM software, so it can only come on with the low beams.
3) IPDM-ER has an internal relay that clicks on to switch the fog lights.

Unless you plan on having a ghetto switch, or figuring out the electronics of the switch and how to interface to it, and perhaps take over the fog lamp control, good luck.

You could allways run 2 additional and seperate relays that are powered by a direct flow of electricty(i.e.directly from the battery) controled by the high beam source voltage. Simply tap them into the source voltage for the fog lights. When your low beams are on they will operate normally, when your high beams are on they will operate off of the the battery voltage and the relays will seperate and control the entire circuit from your high beam switch.
