going to go sign the papers for my 2004 SL lease saturday getting ready to talk to the dealer about the price and such, looks on edmunds and it says the MSRP for the car is 29,000 however the invoice is only 26,517 with a true value of 27,634. Whats the number i should be aiming for? BTW i called him up and asked about the hail damage cars he said they dont stock hail damage cars, and he never heard of the shimmi problem. Anything else i need to know before i go no would be cool thanks.

Don't know how much you can neg for as it looks like you two agreed on a price. I'd go to another dealer, neg something as close to the inv as possible and then bring that to the original dealer to see if they will deal. Because without any ammo, why should the original dealer lower their price? You already agreed on a price. Good thing you didn't sign yet.

Don't pay more than 3 hundred dollars over invoice, and make sure he throws in wheel locks.

You are leasing, shouldn't you be more worried about upfront costs, mileage, length, and monthly cost? Do you know how to calculate that off of the cost of the car? If not, then you are wasting your time negotiating the price of the car, since you aren't buying it.
