i'm going to be blunt...if you ladies and gents can't "talk/discuss" about cars and purchase or the dealer experience in some kind of adult way then i'm going to start banning people.

you know who you are. people buy cars every day. people sell cars every day. it makes the world go around. dealers make $...people drive away happy.

if i see another flame/personal attack against another member i'm going to ban first and ask questions later.

post CONSTRUCTIVE posts...i don't want to see ***, ****, or calling names. it's very clear how the dealers feel about the customer and it's also very clear how customers feel about the dealers. no way around it..it's just the nature of the beast. don't take the experience at the showroom floor and bring it here in the forums to argue.

thanks and enjoy the org.

Oh I agree, however, that exchange between the dealer and some of the members gave us great insight into behind the scenes of a dealership. One that everyone should read. I see you locked the thread. To bad.....I was wondering what our other members thought of his comment about how well the Altima and Maxima are built along with the fact that he wouldn't own any. I believe he is a manager or at least one of the top salesmen at that Nissan dealership in VA. His comments lend credence to post's concerning shimmy's, paint flake, misaligned mufflers, hoods, break squeal, etc. It confirms for our members the fact that Nissan has some major problems with production. That comment alone could probably get him fired from the dealership in VA. I sent him a personal E-mail asking why he felt that way.....guess what? No response! I wonder why.

Those Post's gave the members a true look at the minutia that is kicked around in the car game along with incite from someone who makes a great deal of money out of selling cars he wouldn't buy. I for one learned a lot more than on most of the threads posted on this site. Anger sometimes brings out the "very truth" of a subject. I suspect we received a lot of underlying truths. Albeit, we could have received the same message without the insults. Perhaps we should.....consider the source! I know I will.

he could've been a bit nicer in informing the board of the truths and myths of the industry. he chose to shoot out insults instead. what's worse is other members go back with insults and cheap shots. now it's back to the sand lot days and that's why the thread was locked.

if you all want to discuss it...i have zero problems about it. once the cursing and the insults comes out it gets locked...simple as that. i have very low/zero tolerance with insults. we're all adults..(at least most)..try to act like one.

Danny's right, of course, and I let another poster get under my skin, for sure. The point is that this is a hobby, an interest, a large purchase, a fun subject for most of us ... and a way of making a living for others. Either way, it ain't worth getting our knickers in a knot over.

My apologies to the org for losing it in that thread!

Mike

By the way, the dealer did answer me. He explained a process I asked him about and mentioned the materiel quality of the plastic in the vehicle that may cause rattles in time. Sounds like he knows what he's talking about to me. I hope he dosen't leave the post's. We can use all the inside info we can get.

thanks tony. i know conversations and discussions can get a little heated. you know that there's a lot of hidden stuff that goes behind the screen that most do not know about the dealership. who's out there to tell us? no one...so that's why people get the misconception about a lot of stuff since they hear it through the grape vine. good luck with sales.

oh and a few expressed some "common problems" with the 6th gen cars...maybe u can help them with TSB reports or someone to talk to in getting that stuff taken care of?

Thanks!

only problem....anything i can do to help w 6 gen(ar any gen for that matter) i will do....my dealership is really good about taking car of problems....if everybody lived here in va i would say come on down and i can try to get you straight....the only problem since nissan doesnt own any dealership ,policies are a little differant at each store....for instance....my dealership doesnt care about mods at all.....except in the case of suspension mods.....but if you drop your car we wont void whole warranty....but suspension wont be covered.......you can throw nitrous on a car and they are cool w that....but it wont cover motor or trans anylonger...... headers y-pipe.bpipe intakes and soforth wont hurt you at all here...except if that part was the cause of the problem......but i know at some stores as soon as you put clear corners on they give you grief......

so the tsb issues and problems i can only take care of at my store.....but if anyone lives near or close to richmond va give me a shout and ill see what i can do
