Decisions.....Decisions...Decisions

Well, as previously posted, I decided on an Onyx/Blk leather/SE/Journey/moonroof/VDC

What I can actually FIND however......

Either

Silver/gray leather with all the equipment I want

OR

Onyx/blk without moonroof or VDC

I could live without the VDC, but I really prefer the moonroof over the "Coin Slot". Just afraid an 18 wheeler driver will try to shove a big quarter in my roof going down the road.

Why, oh WHY did I have to fall in love with the black. I was SUPPOSED to remain open minded in case I couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Arggh!!

I know, I know.... I have to make up my own mind.... but thanks for listening!

Color shouldn't take precedence over options in my opinion... besides, silver looks great... it's what I have.

Nevermind what you can find. If you're really dead set on getting what you want. Order it.

It'll take a while but at least you get what you want and not what you have to settle with.

In 2002 silver was the most popular car colour according to PPG paints.

http://pittsburgh.bizjournals.com/pi...0/daily37.html

I also found reference to silver being the most popular colour in 2001. And I recall hearing on the radio in 1999 that it was the most popular colour. I'd say that after 4 years that it's not a fad.

ok then....silver cars have grown in popularity in the recent years.....there happy! But.....I guarantee it will significantly decline in popularity in the next deacade also. But I give it 5 years and then you will not see as many silver cars. by meaning fad I am talking about silver everything. Like the intereior of your car unless you have the wood trim. refrigerators, appliances, TV's, DVD players, everything basically are in silver now (even computers) and are in style...therefore you see more silver cars but watch it decline in the years to come. I think it all started with the new Millenium thing......dont be offended by the color of your car just because I say I dont care for Silver cars and that it is a fad. It is not a bad thing if it is a fad.

Just look at all the car commercials that are on tv now.....majority are all in SILVER....it seems to me.....with exception of the maxima of course....which i have all seen in guess what BLACK!!!(good choice)!!

Maybe I should just say trend.....there you happy?

You people on this forum seem to get so offended by anyone saying anything about your cars. Heck if its true then just accept it. But I am not trying to throw flames at anyone and I sure as the heck dont enjoy it back.

I am just a guy that is voicing my opinion which i rarely do in here. Most of the time I use this forums for research and opinions.

And my opinion is that silver cars are a fad in this day and age....oops I mean "TREND"

I am seriously considering this, however I hear conflicting reports about how long it takes. I had a previous bad experience with a non-nissan dealer "factory ordering" for me only to make me wait 8 weeks and selling my vehicle out from under me to a higher bidder when it arrived.

Anybody "factory order" in north Texas? How long ago, and how long did it take?

Just go to a high-volume Nissan dealership. Down here in Houston, they seem to be the one's who can get a vehicle faster. Definitely not 8-weeks time.

The only catch is they usually ask for a refundable check deposit. But it's not that bad since they don't deposit it until you purchase the car. If you don't, then they just return the check.

Another alternative is to contact Grubbs Nissan/Infiniti (i think they're on the West coast). They can arrange to get the car you want from the closest Nissan lot delivered to your door. Paperwork and first deposit is done right at your doorstep.

As a last resort, ask your dealership to search through the nationwide stock list for the vehicle you want. Most dealerships can do a trade with one car on their lot if you end up buying the car being searched for.

Okay... I did it!

SE/Journey/Moonroof/VDC/NO SHIMMY/NO HOT AIR ON VENT/NO REAR SHELF NOISE

In Onyx/Blk Leather on order!

Santa also let me add XM to the package (gotta love that Santa!).

Thanks all for your suggestions! I really wouldn't have been happy with anything but Onyx in the long run. Sorry I started a "color war"

Y'all will have to help me get throught the next 6-8 weeks
