The "Orange" Maxima"

Has anyone heard any info that that color might be discontinued for 2005?

My father is getting a new max next month, and I went to the Nissan site to build one, and I didn't see that color chioice anymore. Is it gone?

Damn he's going to be ****ed if it is!

Radiant Ember color availability is limited even for 2004 model. I also checked out the Nissan USA site and color availability for 2004 Maxima's Radiant Ember is no longer available. I e-mailed the company and hopefully will get an answer soon. By the way, I bought my radiant ember 04' Maxima two months ago. I haven't seen anyone driving a Maxima with the same color, except for a 04' 350Z.

Nissan North America responded to my E-Mail. Read the statement below:

According to our model line information, the Radiant Ember was a launch color for the Nissan Maxima, and is no longer offered as an option from the manufacturer. You may be able to find a Maxima in the inventory of a dealership, or ask you dealer if there is any way to track down a Maxima in Radiant Ember in another state.

We hope that this information answers your question, but if you need any additional information or have further questions, please let us know by reply e-mail or by calling 1-800-647-7263 and pressing "0" for a live operator.

thats too bad it was only offered for a short time. I liked that color - saw a 5th gen with it too, and its quite striking. Another smart move by Nissan huh? Even my mom wanted her car (camry) in that Nissan Gold/Orange color

If I could have found a Radiant Ember Elite with VDC, I would have snatched it up in a heartbeat. I had to "settle" for silver though.

Orange - Burnt Baby Poop

Im glad they didnt make that color anymore... it did nothing for the car, they need to come out with a really cool color like a deep charcoal metallic, something similar that i have seen on the Nissan Silvia's.

The orange or puke color i have seen on the Grand Prixs is hidious, i laugh at the people who drive that car around with that color, plus it would be a hard color for resale and even to repaint, especially if you did any after body work to the car.

As far as buying a car from Canada, they charge so much over the border, its just sick... i feel sorry for the Canadians and how they get screwed so bad on things like that with their Paralmentary System over there. Even with the exchange rate, the car is still more than what you could get one over in the US.

What does that tell you? I really hated the radiant pumpkin to begin with, but it has grown on me on the 350Z, not quite there on the Max though.

This Car sticks out, It grows on you. When I first saw it, I thought I would never get one. I ended up getting it. After seeing all the silver's out there, I wanted to be different. Now I get all looks on this car. People love it. a very small percentage does not, But all I hear is thats a sharp looking car. I have only seen 2 of these driving around in My area.
I see more silver and white.

Joe

The first thing I saw in orange was the Murano, and I hated it. Then in either the end of Feb or the first of March, hubby got lucky and got to drive one home from work, and it was the orange. It looks really good on the Maxima. I was just afraid I'd get tired of it all the time.

I thought I would tire of it too, but it just keeps getting nicer looking. None of the other colors complement the lines of the car the way radiant ember does. I've lost count of how many times people asked me if my car was a 350Z. And the best part of radiant ember.... it can't be confused with an Altima.

I must say I agree with you in that it is a color that keeps getting nicer and nicer looking the more you see it. I don't think it would look good on any of the previous generations of maximas, but that looks really sharp. That is the first one I saw (04 maxima, that is) because it was a prototype.
Kind of like my 4th gen. It is different looking and unsual, but awesome. I have a bright red 1999 SE-L. You just don't see that all the time and it is great. Enjoy the rare color. Maybe they won't wear it out. Maximas have only been made in bright red two years...93 &99...maybe that color will be the same way.

Here in the SF bay area, you see every make/model of car. It's more common to see a Ferrari 360 Modena than this color, and I still have yet to see another radiant ember Maxima, only one 350Z.

Here's a couple pics:
