Uh-oh. . .odometer problem
I bought my 04 Max in mid July. With my commute, I put about 300 miles a week on it. With other miles, let's round that to 400/week. Thats 1600 miles per month. I should have about 6400 miles on right now. Problem is my odometer reads 9300+!
I went on the highway and synched the reset button with the mileage markers. Within two miles, the digital readout was turning before I hit the tenth of a mile marker.
So, I have way more miles on the odometer than I am suppose to. Is this fixable? How? And how will I reset to 6400? My speed readout also seems 5 mph faster than actual. These two problems must be related.
I hope the dealer can fix these problems. . .
Anybody else encounter this type of problem?
Thanks. .. . .Jim C

I bet your speedometers are off, I am pretty sure mine is off by 2-3 mph (high) I have hooked my laptop to a gps in the car and it shows a speed that is a few mph slower than the speedo.
2-3 won't make a difference, 10 would
