I've seen a lot of 1/4 mile times posted for the '04 Maxima with automatic, but I haven't seen 0-60 times for the auto.

I checked on Motor Trend and Car & Driver's web sites, and they only list 0-60 times for the 6 speed. Has anyone seen documented 0-60 times for the '04 Maxima auto (either SE or SL)?

 

Based on the 14.6-14.8 times guys have been able to get with the auto, that would put the 0-60 in the low/mid-6 range. The mags have not been able to drive any recent Maxima worth a darn so I would take their numbers like a grain of salt.

CarTest software says about 6.2 for an auto, and 5.7 for a manual. The manual time depends on being able to launch though, and no mag has been able to yet. People here have been able to beat the mag times their first time at the track with the car when you usually do pretty bad anyways.

 

a car with awd (and i better not mention it or the smartass moderator stevtec will ban me ) will launch better everytime. by the way im enjoying my 5 day ban

 

i would say low 6s for an auto, "with the right launch" the auto se is hard to launch it isnt easy. i learned that my first time out.. with a wonderful 15.6 run lol.. but the 6spd should be faster with a good driver, and yup the launch is everything with stick, they may put more power to the ground, but if u cant launch auto will have u.. so 14.6 is the best, if i ever went back again now, im posotive i can throw down a 14.4 pass bone stock for an auto maxima.. i would say good driver with a 6spd bone stock can run a 14.2
