With day to day driving should people be concerned with this statement on the website:

A note regarding Cold Air Intake systems and Cold Air Extensions:
*Injen Technology Cold Air Intake Systems should be removed in any wet climates or on any wet roads or highways. Failure to comply with the above warnings may cause water to be absorbed into the engine through the filter causing serious damage to your motor. Injen Technology Co., Ltd. assumes no liability for damages toy your motor due to water entering your engine through the Injen intake system. Although a bypass valve may be used on most systems, it will void warranty and the C.A.R.B. EO# at this time.
Please remember to drive safe, and drive smart.

Day to day driving isn't a problem. But you have to be careful if you are coming up on a flooded road...

The 5th gens have had the Injen for a long time. I have heard people say over and over that, unless you are really dumb and decide to drive through a deep puddle, so as to almost fully submerge your filter, you should have no problems with this intake. Looks good, too.

I own three Injens on three different vehicles, and even during our flash floods, I've never EVER had a problem. Way to go Injen!!!

[sarcasm]wow, 16 hp and 18 ft/lbs!!!! thats amazing[/sarcasm]

All joking aside I like Injen's product for my 2k2, I like the sound it makes, and it feels like its a bit more responsive. But i could be going insane.

Injen usually does before/after dynos on their intakes. Might take a few days to get stuff scanned and posted though.

I just heard a horror story about someone with a 2003 escalade ext that went thought a flooded road. Water kicked up and got sucked into new CAI and then into engine and seized it .....15000 damage. Read the warnings closely

I noticed that the Injen RD1945 says that it is for the 04 Maxima 6 speeds, but will it work on my 5 speed sportshift?

Is the new Cold intake only for 2004 Maxima with manual transmission or it can also be use for 2004 Maxima with automatic transmission?

Injen usually comes extremely close, if not dead on when it comes to dyno testing. On my 03 2.5 Altima, they dynoed 11, we got 10.2, and they tested 8 ft tq, we got 9.1....just like anyone else who has ever dyno tested an Injen, it definetely is hands down the best intake system on the market for Nissans. I own one on each of my Nissans/Infinities......

Devil's advocate here can someone prove this is better than the hacked air box aka GAB?

Seems like the intake is quite long with a few bends in it. It looks good and probably would sound awesome too...if you're into that type of thing

Cool, do you really believe they could get that type of HP from the Max and just an intake??

It seems like a stretch doesn't it? I guess it is piling on but I'd like to see the charts. DId they get that increase without killing off low end or big end?

This is NOT the for sale forum.

Phillip@Injen - i consider this spam. 2 posts? if you want to advertise on the org consider buying some advertising space/time and support the forum. Vendors here support the forum by giving us group deals and etc...consider doing that for the community.
