Hey, just joined you guys. I'm over at Altimas.net with my car, but my dad just got a 2004 SE 5-seat with the Leather Package.
The engine is incredible, even under 3000 RPM. I did feel a bit of that shimmy that you guys are always talking about, even though that isn't supposed to affect Canadian cars.
Anyways, I look forward to learning more about this car on here.

It was -9 degrees Celsius up here this morning (15.8 degrees Fahrenheit), so yes, it's quite cold. Actually, my car wouldn't start this morning, so I was "forced" to drive the Maxima to church. Hahaa. What torture...
I don't think that the Max is actually that much bigger than my car, but it does seem like it based on those pictures.
Thanks for the welcomes guys.

It certainly does effect Canadian cars. Mine shakes like a ****.
I'm plenty ****ed with this thing. It died at a gas station right after I filled up. I had to have the gas monkey help me push it to the back of the station and leave it there for the night.
CM.

Mine is really new too. I finally doubled the mileage to 700km today. Anyway, my Max had the shimmy where the steering wheel would move left and right around the 100km/hr mark. Not too bad but annoying for a new $40k car.
Yesterday, I checked the tire pressure and they were all low. Perhaps because it's been so cold here. Any way I filled them up to 33psi (say someone else said that the high side was better because of the extra wide tires). I just did a little road trip into the mountains today and NO shimmy. And I tried it at all speeds from 90 to 180. NO shimmy.
Perhaps you're shimmy will something easy too?
PS. I just had to tell someone. My wife glazes over just like I do when she talks about a knitting pattern.
