did you guys use the heat gun / hair dryer method?
What did you use to get the adhesive off?

I already took the NISSAN logo off, because I had to put the spoiler on, and I just pried it off, and used nail polish removal to get the sticky stuff off..I am assuming I can do the same with the Maxima and 3.5se...

I thought nail polish remover would remove the clearcoat.

Another idea might be to use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat them up. Then, literally use your VISA card, or Mastercard or Amex, or any credit card and slide it across the wordings. Be careful not to scratch the paint.

I used a credit card and most of the adhesive came off with the letters...damp towel for clean up. Took about 10 minutes total...

Fishing line works much better then dental floss. Also, you can use paint thinner to remove the sticker without harming the clear coat. However, you need to apply a couple coats of wax.

You can pick up great glue removal products. I got a small bottle of Un-Du at Radio Shack a while ago. It softens up glue like crazy then it just scrapes off easily with your fingernail or the built in scraper on the bottle.

I don't mind the "Maxima" and "3.5SE" so much as the lame dealer sticker. I find that to be far more annoying. Any easy way to remove those?

Hairdryer. Heat them and peel from a corner. At least mine came off easy that way.

The little buggers slipped another one on the last time I was in for an oil change. I guess they thought it "fell" off or something. I'll have to be clear on my policy about stickers next time I go in there. Stickers on my car = free oil change for me!

I notice those "dealer" stickers (or even emblems)on out of state cars all the time, it must be annoying as hell. Here in Ca. dealers never put their stickers on new cars, just liscense plate frames. I was annoyed to find to big drilled holes in my front bumper after I removed the front plate... Found some plugs and touch up paint, works for now...
