Farewell to my Maxima.org friends!

With the trading of our 04 Maxima this weekend, I have no Maxima's in my garage for the first time in 5 years! This thread has been an invaluable source of information for me over the years, and I hope that my participation has been helpful to a few folks over the years, as well!

The trade is in no way an indication of dissatisfaction with our car. As a matter of fact, it was the toughest car to give up in quite some time. Who knows...there may be a Maxima on the horizon out there again soon. However, I'll have to say that the utility of the FX45 we traded for combined with the open-air exhilaration of the Z Roadster I picked up last summer, I think, really think, I'm set for a while, that is as long as I'm gainfully employed and can pay the notes on these suckers (grin).

So, if anybody knows someone looking for an awesome SL with Michelin tires, tinting, Elite package and opening sunroof...I can tell you where to find ours! Just 11k miles and the shimmy issue was fixed long ago by a trip to the place it was built!

Thanks for all the fun!

Scott, aka "maxmann"...you'll find me lurking around the Z forum as "zmann"!

Good luck, you must be getting good deals through your buddy that works fro Nissan. I remember you having an 02/03/04/350 convert all within a short time span, good luck with the FX45!

Not to mention the 315hp on 20" wheels. Congrats on the upgrade.

For those of us with the shimmy, care to elaborate on the fix?

let me try this again...what is up with the server? Anyway...steering rack friction was tightened. Resulted in much firmer steering feel and elimination of the shimmy. My neighbor thought that was the fix, but he says they are still looiking into it.

thanks for the kudos on the FX45. It fits our lifestyle so much more! With it and the convertible, there's nothing we aren't ready for!
