OK. Last night I installed my system and I gotta say, it looks sweet! I installed a Kenwood KDC-MP6025 Head Unit with A Kenwood KHD-CX910 Music Keg. I used a Metra Dash Kit 99-7404, Metra Wiring Harness 70-7551, and a Metra Antenna Adapter 40-NI10. The color on the dash kit matches perfectly and furthermore the color of the head unit matches perfectly as well. It's an extremely clean install. I'll post pics on Cardomain in the next couple of days after I transfer my 20gigs of music into my Music Keg. Hooray! Jsmithsole, still waiting for your install!

Cool!!! Can't wait to see some pics. But more importantly how does it sound compared to the factory HU....Did you change any of your speakers?

PS - Do you have a Bose system?

Ok, here are the pics!

The head unit, dash kit, and the factory interior trim match perfectly! In addition, I've got a Kenwood Music Keg for 20 gigs of MP3s complete with voice prompts. I don't even have to take my eyes off the road. It's friggin amazing! If I'm looking for a certain song, I can search for it by playlist, artist, album or genre. For example, if I'm searching for a certain song, my Music Keg will voice prompt the name of the artist, genre, playlist or album so I don't even have to look at the display. It's not some cheesy computer voice either! A pleasantly feminine voice will prompt: "rock" or "classical" or "Snoop Dogg" or whatever! It can probably even say "kiss my ***!" if I wanted it to! Amazing! Anyone looking to add an MP3 player should definitely check out this unit. I'm so exicited, I'm gonna **** my pants!!! Rabenoja, I kept all the factory Bose amp and speakers and I think it sounds fine. I just wanted the versatility of playing MP3s. If you want to see more, check out my Cardomain. Woohoo!!!!!

Sweet install. I have only seen one other upgrade to the 6thgen and it was at a local shop here where they glassed a custom console to put in a new deck and a 7" dvd/nav combo screen.

Funny thing is your previous car was the same as mine as well...2000 Galant ES(silver).
