My Moms getting a 04 Maxima SL in a 3 days: Bless her soul !

Hey guys, my moms picking up her 04 Nissan Maxima SL in a few days. She is getting the silver, and this means old ceasar is going to have the chance to test it out. Very nice car you guys have. the tester she has been driving has a cool feature where the steering wheel moves all around. Kinda reminds me of star trek. Anyhow my old 97 cant touch the fine uptown living of the new maxima. you guys have something sweet .!

any words to pass along to mom , besides not letting me drive it ? lol

Wow, if that steering wheel's moving all around, I'd park it and call a wrecker. It's only supposed to tilt and telescope! (Of course, it probably also swings up out of the way when you go to get out of the car and comes back down when you're ready to start back up.)

Congrats to your mom on a good choice.

Mike

Dude! You couldn't steer your mom toward a G-35 or a TL? What's the deal? Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. These older people today, they just don't listen.

I really like my Maxima but, if I had it to do over again... mine would be a 5 speed auto instead of 6 speed and probably an SL too.

Let us know what kind of times you turn in it and we'll stick you in the top 10 post.

Congrats. Hope she likes it. What made her choose the SL? Why not the SE?

Why would you say that? I love the 6 speed and I keep at B&M to develop a short shifter.

well mom says the g35 sedan is to small for her, but she really liked it. I went to the dealership yesterday with her and it was my first time to ride in both the SE and SL. She was telling me the SL is supposed to have a smoother ride than the SE. After riding in both it was to close for me to really tell.

She is getting the liquid silver and with black leather, moon roof thing and automatic tranny.

Some interesting Maximas we have had in the family. Back in the day we had a 2nd gen with the talking lady, my car is a 4th gen in which I will never sell, and soon introducing the 6th.

I will have to turn her own to the 6th gen forums to do some reading, i doubt she would ever post..lol !

unlikely we will ever find out, she also got the automatic, best time on the chariot is 14.16 best mph 99.76 in the 1/4 mile, and the way she is running this week, im hoping to beat that time tonight, got the cattman headers and got the max running good ! so we will see. only thing is the weather is really got HOT now !

beautiful car though, (moms) really puts mine to shame ! i was hoping she would have gotten the rear spoiler !
