Are you saying that we are not good enough for Maximas, or that Maximas are not good enough for us?
Actually, the classic definition of an engineer usually includes something like "analyzes options and selects the most cost effective means to satisfactorily accomplish stated goals and objectives"... pretty much exactly what I did every time I bought a Max. Way back in '87 I badly wanted an Audi 4000 - a sporty fwd sedan with an MT and room for two kiddie seats in the back. But the Max was much more "cost effective" and, in retrospect, was probably a better car than the Audi... certainly more reliable. Not a bad engineering job.

I'm rarely a wise-*** and when I am..."interwebz iz seriouz biznez"
)...as in "engineers" should be driving some German or Italian car, not some "jap" car

+1 on that! If anything this thread kind shows that most here can/are able to afford a more expensive whip if they wanted to........ Also mind you that, at least from my experience, when the Maxima came in out in 03 it was running at about $32.5k - $33k.... which is not REALLY expensive - but not cheap either.

I'm in the U.S Navy, actually have been here for almost 22 years. I started out as an enlisted guy right out of high school but with hard work, education and great Sailors I became a naval officer!!!! I am an LDO LT, I am a Submarine Combat Systems Officer, hopefully next year I'll be wearing LCDR! Served on 6 warships and toured the world on behalf of this great country.
I think everyone should serve at least 2 years, it helps you grow up and become part of something greater than yourself. Just my 2 cents. I will serve 3 more years, my daughter will graduate college at that time, then I will take the long walk:-)
It has been a great experience, I've met some of the best people from all races, they hail from all over this great country. They just want to grow up, learn something and help defend our way of life. (I sound like a Navy recruiter huh).
I will probably teach high school Math or Science when I retire, or just roll back into the government to work on my second retirement check:-)

F/A-18s are Navy. They are getting replaced with the JSF or F-35, but that is a few years out.F-15s are Air Force. They have been around for years and will continue to be around for quite abit longer. The jets I crew are '75-'78 models. F-22s are only at a few bases and havent really started replacing the F-15 yet.

The US Navy had F-14 Tomcats and all squadrons have been retired and replaced by F/A-18E/F Hornets and the new Super Hornets.
Next phase for the Navy will be the JSF or F-35.
