Help Help Help

Okay I seen tons of post on how to remove the center console on a 04 max But they seem to be for a standard shift. I never seen anything on a automatic. My problem is I cant seem to get the round plate off. I get the shift **** off but that plate seems to be glued or something and any advice would be a great help please it's driving me nuts.I pulled until my finger tips got sore. I dont want to break it so I stop.

The whole finish should pull straight off. Are you trying just to pull off the inner circular piece? The entire silver trim with the hazard button should pull straight up with relative ease. It's just four clips two along each side of the trim. Pull straight up from a corner to release the first clip, then it should be a piece of cake. Although mine is a manual transmission the trim on both the manual and the automatic is designed the same way.
