Have an SE: It feels like the car bottoms out on every bump. It's a rough ride, quick but rough. They replaced the steering rack, they said it was leaking. Who knows. They tried to fix the shimmy. Didn't work. Soon I would like to get the rotor replaced, new struts and new brake pads, there is a TSB on the pads. One question though, will they replace all four struts or only the two front ones.

SE: Supposedly my dealer has a strut replacement on order for the front passenger side. At first they where trying to tell me it was because of the agressive tire tread pattern. So I took the service manager for a drive... then they hear it.

SE: Had my rear struts replaced, and right front stut mount replaced. Still noisy, this fixed nothing, except make my wheels scratched on the lug holes when the dealers used air toyque wrenches carelessly. ALso noticed that my "new" rear struts havea SL-#### part number sticker on them, who knows if I even have the right friggin struts???

Shimmy at 40-60, refuse to let dealer rip car apart because dealer sucks.

I know there are fewer SL owners on this forum, but I'm wondering if it's just mainly a problem on the SE's... My SL was shimmying, but a re-balance of tires and then rotations fixed it. I assume the struts are different between the two. (?)

I know someone @ the dealer, they are waiting for a new strut to come out for the maxima. Until that happens don't even think about it to take it to the dealer.they will make your car worse.

Is this the feeling where you can feel a sort of Wheel Hop? I have a rough ride as well but can't figure out why.

It isn't serious but I can expect it to get there

Rough Suspension

Going over bumps is pretty rough. i had the tire guy tell me my struts are bad, but honestly, i doubt that would fix the ride. Has anyone found any semi-cheap way to improve the suspension?

That's what I worried about. I'm living in Michigan now and the roads are disgusting haha
