2004 Maxima

I purchases a 2004 maxima SE dealear never got rid of Front end shimmy. Shimmy was so bad it shook cover off speedometer, shook the headliner out of car, shook security light out of car. Dealer said this is normal. Traded it for a 2004 SL Maxima. At 10000 miles the SL is starting to shimmy. Dealer is telling me they never heard any other complaints. What gives here? Is Nissan addressing the front end shimmy in these vehicles? Also the nav system doesnt work, radio fails constantly, cover over nav system is all smoked up, glove box does not fit, turn signals wont turn off, parts are always backordered, & i think transmission is failing. Dealer says this is all normal stuff. Am i am too picky?

$35000 car should not be this bad!

Welcome to the forum!!!. All you mentioned we all know about. Yes, they are all true about the new 04 SE or SL Maxima. The dealers know about them. Read on, you'll see about all the problems.....

LOL, Bob you're too funny. This story is hard to swallow, I mean he signs on as "badmax" and this is the only post. If he doesn't scan some Nissan paperwork on here, I think this post should be deleted. Or someone sold him a Hyandai and slapped some Max stickers on it.

I smell RICE burning in this thread......

I think BadMax is a fake

I think he's a Max-hater pretending to be a Max-owner.
Yeah, he bought a '04SE and it "shaked" loose parts off the dashboard.
The he "traded" it in for a '04SL.... And I was born yesterday...
Come-on, go get a life somewhere else !

comone badmax, we are waiting for a response that would be brighter than trading in a car after 10k miles and buying another car almost exactly like it!!!!

Where badmax gives himself away is when he says the shimmy shook the cover off the speedometer and brought down the security light and the headliner.

True Maxima fans here know the shimmy is a side-to-side vibration of the steering wheel at a particular speed; a vibration which is not reflected in any significant motion by any other part of the car.

But then he wouldn't know that, not having driven an '04 Maxima.

Make that bad bad max. As in bad bad dog.

I'm glad to see that you guys shut this silliness down. The last time I told someone to just leave the group because they were irresponsible and juvenile, noone joined in and many treated the post as legit. So I just gave up and figured that any stupid (also written like English has no rules) post will be accepted.
