Official Nissan "What's New" in the '05's - modem users beware

Guys and Gals - when I was at my dealer's on Wednesday, I was talking to my service writer and he told me that he had received the information on all of the changes and specs for the '05 Max with all of the specs with comments from the factory on what everything is / does, and the "category" of the item as defined in the Nissan Service Program. I borrowed it to scan, and post it here for all of you to view, print, or open and save - your choice. Let me know if you have any problems viewing. There are also .jpgs available but are too large to view easily here. You can PM me for the address if you would rather have the raster images instead of the .pdf file. Here is the link to Adobe for the Acrobat reader if you don't already have it:

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Hope this helps to clarify any and all questions about what the '05 has that's a carry-over from '04's and what has been added / changed.

Thanks to Bluemaxx for the help in getting this to all of you 6th genners looking for a way to fix the "shimmy" with a trade, and anyone considering "trading up" from an earlier gen.

Here is the link to the .pdf file:

Enjoy, and hope this clears the fog...

I noticed that traction control and some other features are marked as late availability. Any idea how late "late availability" will be?

Thanks.

My understanding is that HSLD was discontinued in favor of late '04 availability of traction control, and that all '05's will have traction control as standard eqipment.

Correct me if I'm wrong ...

Did anyone notice that the 6 disc changer is now moved to the trunk if you have navigation? That sucks, I guess it's one good reason to have the 04

Folks, I'm not sure who is right or wrong about 'standard' traction control on the '05. But I DO know the first '05 Maxima I saw had the VDC-TSC (Vehicle Dynamic Control and Traction Control System) on the sticker as an option at $900, exactly the same way my '04 SL did.
