The shape of things to come

All the time, I see older Toyotas that resemble Maximas. Gotta wonder, who uses who though. Many say we look like an ION (rear) or Galant (front). Well it's obvious Mitsu copied b/c the 04 was out a lot sooner. I think the 4th Gen is classic and would love one for a daily driver to work, saving the short stop/go commutes from my baby.

Also, I've noticed a trend in car design as well... Seems as if the MAX has a strong following when it comes to styling and shape... There's a lot of other Makes/Models out there that are following suit w/ the styling of the MAX and they're even boosting their horsepower like crazy now! Ode to be a MAX! lol

I too love the look of the 5th gen. My twin brother has one and when I bought my 04 he acted like his Max was crap. Hes been wanting to trade his in now eversince I got mine....my opinion, he should keep it! Heres some pics of his...
and a pic of it with my 04 rims on it now...

It's really subjective. Maximas are not your regular Accord or Camry, whose every new generation is hardly surprising. On the other hand, you can look at a 4th, 5th and 6th gen next to each other and wow at how different they all look. A lot of people didn't like the 5th gen when it came out, a lot of them don't like the 6th, but it will eventually grow on them. The first pic I saw of it was rear 3/4 shot and I loved it, then the grille was kind of a bummer. I still like both the 5th and 6th equally much.
And it's funny to know you guys actually notice 4th./5th gens on the street, all the 6th gen drivers I see wouldn't even look at another 6th gen if it pulled up next to them.

Yes I like the 6th Gen SE as well as the 5.5 gens alot. Going classic I still love the look of my 89 (as well as a well taken care of 85-88) had it since it was new, drive it as a bad weather car. I tend to glance at any Gen Maxima if its in good shape except fo rthe 1st gen. Maximas since the 4th gen has taken some daring styling attributes from their rear ends to their front ends but still has retained its strong enthusiast following and popularity.
