So after all the thoughts and decisions, I wanted to make my Max sound like 350Z/G35C. So I went to the dealership and got myself special order 350Z resonator for my Max's stock exhuast system. then I went to the muffler shop to get my Max install the 350Z resonator. And there's definitely a change in sound, when I rev it between 1-3 rpms, it's louder than before with the stock resonator, but it does not sound exact the same as 350Z/G35C... wonder why ??? , so does anybody know what else I have to do to make it sound exact the same like 350Z/G35C ??? Intakes ??? Z-tube ???

 

Are the mufflers the same on the Max vs 350Z ? The size and length of the pipes may make a difference as well.

its a different exhaust setup, bends and lengths will lead to different sounds along with different mufflers

 

That's the same story with us the guys on the 5th generation...... no way you can duplicate the sound of the G or Z, that's unique due to setup on the exhaust. You will have to change almost everything from the intake down to the muffler.... money $$$ a lot to spend , not worht it.....
