I've never been a fan of either. I have always used Clarion head decks. I've had 3. If you go Clarion, go ProAudio

Any one have any pics of good install kits that will match the factory face plate if you get an aftermarket radio. If I could find a decent one I will pull my bose system out.

dunno, I'd say alpine and pioneer are pretty equal in terms of sound quality, but the Pioneers have more ways to tweak the sound to get the best quality. I have a Pioneer, and I am very pleased with it, all depends on what you like in terms of style.

This one is excellent. I have a friend with a 350Z that put it in himself.
Kenwood Excelon DDX7015 $1,399.99 (Crutchfield)
DVD receiver with 6.5" touch-screen control monitor. The price is steep but you can get better prices with a search on the internet. It plays DVD's as well and the screen is clear like a plasma screen.

Personally: Kenwood, Alpine, in that order. I find that Pioneers get way too distorted when pumped, u have to adjust your amps so they are peaking when the pioneer head unit volume is about 3/4 to max.

I've had 2 pioneers..i dont think i'll be going back..my first pioneer cd player wouldn't take my cd's..it would spit them back out, eventually it would take them but it would be a pain..my second was a cd/mp3 compatible...it was very picky inregards to the cds it would read..i'd have to make sure not one scratch was present in order for it to play..the audio controls are great but other than that, i dont think i'll be goin that way again
