OK guys, as promised pics of the silver carbon fiber interior.

I love the stuff, no more scratches and looks great to me. Gotten lots of complements. Quality is great. The pictures are not the best quality to show the detail and there is some flash reflection, but you should see this stuff in the sun and the nice weave. Hope you guys enjoy.

Don't make fun of the pants either, I just got off of work and did not change out of my Air Force blues yet.

....sorry, but that's tacky in my opinion. Doesn't go with anything in the interior plus the carpet material on the dash is another thing I'm not feeling, but the most important thing here is that you like it.

I think all that takes away from the "cleanness" of the interior. Just my .02.

The best part for me is seeing the 68 degrees F outside temp, as I look outside my window this morning and see 8 inches of snow...

I would be worried about sun reflection when driving.

The pieces seem to be generally good fit. Another color - carbon fiber, might go better in mine.

Can you give us the link again where you bought it?

LOL - mine's been very much in the -9C range in the morning. BTW looking out my window looks pretty similar this morning.

Havnig said that......i agree that the fit looks good, but i think i would prefer a darker colour if io was to go with this.

Carcus, where and what site did you buy the interior from. I'm thinking of the same but maybe a wood trim or original CF. Did you get a nice deal?

Well guys, to answer all the questions:

First, my interior is black cloth and has silver squares in the cloth, the silver carbon looks way better in person and taking a picture with a very old digital camera, than shrinking down the picture....also, the flash from the camera does not help out matters.

Interior was black and silver to begin with so it matches to me, boils down to personal taste.

The dash cover is velour and looks grey in the picture. Cost me 29 bucks if I remember and with a big dash like the Maxima, after being in Tucson Arizona for 5 years before, the sun is not nice to a dash. Really does not look bad.

The thing on the display is a Mobb Deep song name. I take my origional CD's, burn a copy and enable the show text on it.

The little thing in the compartment is my XM radio Roady, until I get some bucks to buy the Grubbs XM receiver.

Shift **** was a 15 dollar cheap chrome ball that attaches with allen bolts. I got it when my stock shift **** broke. Recently got the dealer to replace a new stock one, than I realised, I hate the feel and look of the stock leather one and swapped it back.

The interior may not be for everyone, but I am VERY happy with it. Again, a camera does not do it justice, one of those things you have to see in person. But hey.......no more scratches!

I guess I can somewhat agree that the pics don't do it justice. Pics never do but....I'm not feelin it to be honest. Maybe against the Frost interior it might look decent but I'm not feeling it against the Black. As long as you like it though, that's all that matters.

And that is cool, I respect your opinion. Black carbon fiber just would have been too much black for me, I wanted the contrast. The silver might look good with frost also. I never liked the frost interior, personal taste. Had to get the black. The black and silver seem to go fine with me. Hopefully I will get some better close up pics without a flash so you guys can get a better idea. Black carbon would look nice as well.

I posted the pics to give you guys some ideas, different from spending money on upgrading to a 05 interior that pretty much looks the same to me, seen it, just got some texture to it. You can customise your interior to what ever floats your boat, wood, carbon, color...you name it. The SL drove me off with the fake wood look. I liked the silver SE stock look.....but the stuff is cheap and scratches just by wiping it.....it does so much Nissan changed the trim for the 05.

The cool thing is that everyone on the board is laid back and they just do a thumbs up or down. I respect all the opinions, like the mod or hate the mod. Best thing by posting the pics is that some people may say, hey....wonder what a dash cover looks like on my Max....wonder what a new shift **** looks like on my Max, wonder what a dash kit looks like on my Max. All the pics help out others to decide if they hate it or like it and want to buy.

Na....just the name of the song. Pretty easy to burn a CD and have the song name show up on the display. I only use burnt CD's now so I keep the originals in the house. Have about 300 CD's burnt on my hard drive from all my CD collection. Easy to burn a mix CD. I throw them out or give them away if I am tired with them.

The square at the top says CD IN....means the CD is in the drive.

You can see here my XM Roady installed in the bottom pocket. Works well there. Had the wireless XM RF adapter.....ruined the sound and took out all the bass, so until I get the Grubbs, this is how it is. Hopefully gives some Sat radio guys alternatives.

Surprisingly enough, I never thought I'd drive a car with wood trimmin's (at least until I was older) But the wood has grown on me...
I'm sure the carbon fiber doesn't look as aggressive in person and I'm sure that would cool off this thread a bit.
I think I'm sticking to wood...he he he, he said wood.

KCmaxx,

The difference is that you have Bose and the other guy doesn't. My aunt has a Murano w/o Bose and its shows CD-In. Like you, I have Bose, and I do not have the CD-In display.

This pretty much shows every option on the full display for the amber HUD:

And that is right, I do not have the Bose option, was not worth the money to me. I still have the CD song name if I burn a CD with that option.....as I usually do. On this display with everything lit....there are a few more options Nissan was working on that they never added or activated. Regardless of if you have the Bose or standard non Bose amber display.....Murano....Maxima, I think all is the same part for the display.

You think their is a phone option or is that something they working on. Also the Heater Rear thing is for the Elite probably right?

This display is also shared with the Murano as well. I do not think the Elite has the rear vent option.

Now, the MD and phone option by lighting up the display were things that never made it to the US production. Lots of extra spare stuff on the rear of this stock stereo.....the US market will not support it though. My opinion, the stereo will be replaced in the future.

Lots of LED displays show options that were planned in development...bet never made it to production. The phone and MD are a few you see here.
