Aftermarket Subs with Stock Radio
I just ordered the pac converter for the maxima and im wondering how the subs sound when you use this as your pre out, I have 3 mtx 10" subs and i never hooked them up to a stock radio before. I just wanna make sure it is worth my time to run these wires or if the sound is just not there with the stock head unit. please supply me with your tuoghts.

You shouldnt have a problem at all. I have 3 10" Alpine Type R's, handle 1000W each. With 1000 Watt Rockford Fosgate Amp. Used the Stock Head Unit in mine, I wasnt trying to downgrade 6-CD Changer to 1. The Bose Speakers are good enough to use with the STK unit. I might add an Eclipse 4-way amp for the speakers for a lil more power, but thats about it. Now If I could just get that back deck to stop rattling, bass is so much that the rear brake light hits the back window... Any Suggestions?

I've heard socks work. For me i draped a towel over it. My spoiler has a break light so technically i didn't need that. It worked a little. I'm going to have the whole trunk dynomatted and coushoned after winter break. Hope that helps a bit.
The stock speakers are definatly good enough, it sounds really good.

I bought adhesive weather stripping (black) at home depot. Stuck it around all the edges of the light and the rattle stopped...I also stuffed a towel inside the rear deck.
And haunt14,
I ran the stock system for a while with 2 10's and it sounded good enough...for a while then I got the bug to re-do the whole thing...
