Tires of Choice?

I am so glad I found this website tonight! After getting my oil changed and tires rotated they found the "Goodyear" issue on my car. I have 26,000 miles on my 04 and was shocked to see that on two of my tires the tires have a huge split - not just cracks on them. The other two have smaller splits and cracks. The dealership referred me to the local Goodyear dealer. They said that with 6/32 or whatever left that the warranty would cover 50% of new tires, leaving me with $125.00 per tire plus a !#*% $60.00 per tire for mounting and balancing! Thank God he did not have any in stock because not knowing any better I would of reluctently said fix me up as I am in sales and need the use of my car daily.

I am going to now print off some of the other post here with the same problems and demand that he calls Goodyear for a better win/win solution!

Question to all - what tires does everyone prefer? I know I do not want any more Goodyears.

Thanks

Hard to beat Michelin. I think they are the best. Get the Z rated Pilots. They are so good especially in wet weather.

I sure hope I don't have this goodyear problem with mine! I have a 05' with 1700 miles on it!

I got the Yokohama AVS ES 100's and are VERY happy with them. Ultra High Performance Tire for a sick price. Next set probably gonna try the Falken's out in the same price range or maybe the Michelin Pilot's but they are $$$$!

Yes Michelin makes a pricey tire but remember the saying "You pay for a Mercedes you get a Mercedes!"
