Radio not working in EXTREME COLD

I woke up today in Chicago and headed to work in my 04 Max, cranked her over and took off. I noticed the Control center LED's were a bit slow to react in the cold and thought I had turned the radio off last I left her. But apparently the stock radio does not like temps below 6-7 degrees F. I don't know what it was with the wind chill BUT it kinda scares me a bit. After 10 minutes and a warmed up engine the heat kicked in and the radio came a blaring, forgot to turn it down. So anyone else find any issues with their radios in EXTREME COLD. I will post a reply or edit as today all day it has been single digit and is supposed to go SUB zero tonight! So just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue as well. I thought the radio caught wind of my plot to install an after market Sirius radio and was rebelling.......

My info screen is slow moving at first in extreme cold also. The radio works fine, however. My CDs have a little trouble playing too. They skip just a bit until after 5 minutes or so when the car is warmed up. I've never had it not work at all, though.

It was -40F up here yesterday with windchill......radio played fine but the info screen was slow.... (i was too ! ).

CD played on and off until the car warmed up. This used to happen on my previous cars as well in the extreme cold. I have no problem with the CD player when it is normal temps outside.

Screen will definately be slow since its LCD (liquid Crystal) the liquid inside slows down alot in the cold. As far as the raido i have never had that problem but my car doesnt ever get too cold since it stays in the garage. I have had a problem with some after market products that i have installed not working due to sever cold. I would let my car warm up a bit before speeding off in the morning.

i haven't had any issues with my radio in cold temperatures. a few weeks ago it was -3 F surface temperature and car started normally, nav screen came on (though a bit slow and dim at first) and radio (bose) worked fine.

mornings my car is garaged, so i never have a problem. on weekday evenings it sits outside in my company's lot for at least 8-10 hours, and still no unexpected results thus far.

I hate this problem. Sometimes the skipping doesnt last long other times it doesn't stop for even an hour into the ride. Usually i end up listening to the radio for much of the winter season.

Noticed that my CD will skip a lot and suddenly change CD's when it drops below about 20. Always thought that was odd, thought it was my CD's for the longest time.

I had this problem

Not a CD issue, I can understand those. I didn't even notice the radio wasn't on it was -17 in New Hamshire that day. My heat was on and a little while later my radio came to life like it had unthawed!
