Here's a wierd one, this morning I was driving into work listening to the radio and all of a sudden the volume displayed flashed on and bumped up a few levels. My hand was no where near the control on the steering wheel. I looked around and sure enough there was a G35 on my left and another 6th gen Maxima on my right.

My theory is that our steering wheel control is an ir remote and the receiver on my radio picked up either the other max or g35 driver messing with his radio.

Anybody else experience this?

 

WIERD! I still think it is hardwired

 

Interesting theory, but I am 100% certain the controls are hard wired. In addition, there is no IR receiver in the Max stereo.

yeah, I was just guessing it was IR based...oh well
