HIDvisualcreations

Question for the person who bought hid kit from hidvisualcreations.com-do you like it? How does it look? Does it look like any of this pics? http://hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3505

And finally are you satisfy with it? Just wondering because I am thinking of getting one from the same site you did.

I just got mine from them about a week ago. Just need to find the time to rip the front end off so I can install it.

I am hoping the projectors provide a decent beam pattern to avoid glare. Will find out soon enough. Hopefully install it next weekend.

Please take pics of your car after your first night of driving. With that kelvin rating, you may as well go with two candles instead of headlights.

Seriously, at that rating, your light output will be marginal at best. It's been discussed to death and I believe that the general consensus is that 6000k is about as high as you'd want to go if better lighting is your goal.

Well I guess I was looking at the cosmetics side of it. I really like that purple look. But I will have to think it over now.

taking from my previous experience... i suggest you DO NOT GO OVER 6000K. I originally installed a 10000 K purple HID kit in my car and boy was i dissapointed. sure the lights were purple, but the light output itself was also purple, and the lighting quality just suked. I had to have my fogs on all the time just to see right. All of the traffic signs looked messed up, and i was afraid of being pulled over because they were just to glaringly obvious. So... i changed the kit to a 6000K and i am very happy with it.. now i have a cool white light that lights up the road very well. I think purple it is something inherent in the projector of the maxima because when my car is at a distance, the light look very purple with 6000k, but as you get closer, the get whiter and whiter, until they are a cool white. just my 2c from my experience...

Those bulbs with a Kelvin rating above 5000 such as 8000 and 12000 are illegal. They are not DOT approved light colors and you can be stopped and ticketed for them. Police departments are starting to train officers to recognize these lights.

real xenon is 4100K, bright white up close, blue/purple from a distant. I suggest getting that. I converted halogen to real hid and no regrets.

Doc, what kit did you get? hopefully the lower k rating ones

I picked up the 5000k kit for $250 shipped from visualcreations. Not sure how much he would charge you, I told him I would provide pics of before and after for his website so that may have helped with the price. Dunno.....

Like people are saying above, don't go over 6000k. I choose 5000k as a decent blend of looks and brightness.
