I discovered today, quite by accident, that the horizontal slats of the dash H/AC vents snap shut (fit tightly shut). I was getting some unwanted hot air through them and was trying to adjust the air flow upward, so it wouldn't blow back into my face...it looks cool to me with them shut like that.

 

My climate control has a problem since I first got the car, but Icant bear to let someone touch my car. If you have the temp setting on 60 or 61 degrees it blows cold. If it is 62 degrees or higher it blows full hot. ANY IDEAS?? I am very mechanically inclined.

 

The same thing is happening to me. I am going to the dealer to see what the problem is.

 

Does it do those bad things in the "auto" mode, or only in the manual mode?

 

The temp prob is in all modes
