Any expected changes for the 2006 Maxima

We've had threads here on this last spring, summer and fall, but none in recent months.
I have seen nothing concrete. As for 'looks', based on the previous five Maxima generations, we can expect a few cosmetic changes in the grille/front area, as well as in the rear. Possibly as little as adding bezels around headlamps and/or taillamps. The sides will probably remain the same.
Nissan traditionally adds a color or two with the 'point five' edition of each generation. If two colors are added, an existing one will probably be dropped. Everyone has a different 'guess' on colors. My guess would be either a soft sage 'dusty' green, or a deep green. I would also have no problem with a more pearlescent (further from snow) white.
As for 'mechanicals', I am hoping VDC will become standard on all Maximas. Some others are hoping HIDs will be standard on all Maximas. We may pick up an engine starting option on the fob. Almost surely, the HP will have to be boosted to give more separation with the Altima 3.5, as well as stay compe***ive with the TL, etc. I would guess between 275 and 290 HP.
Another thing to keep in mind is that '06 is the 25th anniversary model for the Maxima, and I feel there will either be some denotation of that on all '06s, or else there will be a special 25th anniversary version of the '06 available in limited numbers.
Of course all this is pure speculation. But we should find out a few things within a few months, as I feel the gen 6.5 Maximas may be reaching showrooms by July; August at the latest.

I would agree on that on, more than likely Nissan will do something to celebrate the 25th anniversary, however I am not sure about the hp boost, though I think they really need to. I am really interested in what the 7th generation Maxima will be, but that is so far out there, anyway hopefully they will do some really nice things to the 6.5 generation Maxima.
