Best color????

Best color????
Is there a poll out there as far as what the most popular colors are? I've narrowed down my option decisions, but I've having the hardest time choosing a color!!!
My favorite color on the 2005 Max is Onyx. Wow. With chrome wheels, it just looks great. The problem is that I live in Seattle and it rains ALL THE TIME here. I'll be washing her 3 times a week if I get black. I still might do it though. My other choices are Red and Silver.
Decisions, decisions!

I love black, but it must be impossible to keep clean and scratch free...
The Red(crimson) is unique too. I'm surprised more people don't dig it.
Silver is classic, but there are SO MANY silver cars on the road
I don't have the stones to order the copper, but it's cool....
Thanks for nothing guys. I'm right back to where I was before! Regardless, I'm getting the 3M clear bra. They had a 350Z with the 3M in the showroom, and it looks good. Barely (but slightly) noticeable, but you can totally tell that the stuff will help with chips. I highly recommend it for darker colors.

Color is such a personal thing, go with the color that "turns you on."

BobbyG123: Red looks ok, but its not "red" enough for my taste. I saw a dark blue Max the other day and its a really nice shade of blue. Silver is very nice, I almost bought one. Only draw back to black is that its a bzitch to keep clean. But thast why I have my handy dandy duster in the trunk.
SIlvermax: When I have to park in the sun, I crack open my sunroof and use a sunshade for windshield. It lets all that heat out. Tinting the windows helps a LOT too.

tell ya the truth, I was looking for a smoke at first, but the dealer didn't have any and I didn't wanna wait for a order so second best was black, but the only black was a 05 with chrome 5 spoke, no likie........ so silver it is, and I love it no regrets........

I wish the Red Opulence in the 05 was more like the Crimson Blaze. I opted for the Blue. Nice and shiny when clean, but breathe on it and poof, it's dirty again.
The Radiant Ember was hot. If it would have been offered in 05, I would have gotten one of those.

Coral Sand
I went with (ended up with) Coral Sand (like a very light, even pale, bronze). It's not really the color I would have preferred, but it's what the dealer had with the equipment I wanted. It's OK in that it is subtle (I'm not necessarily trying to make an identity statement through my car-either to myself or others) and classy looking, and the road dust doesn't show as much as with most other colors.
I like the color of the caffe latte interior leather, but I'm not so hot on the color of the doors and decks with this color scheme. For me, a large part of the exterior color decision had to do with the limited interior color option packages that Nissan offers.
Color preference is very subjective. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

I was sure I wanted Onyx seeing as I test drove that color but after reading up a bit on here and actually seeing a "smoke" maxi I knew that was the color for me. I did have to hunt one down though with my particulars but I am glad I held out. You just don't see a whole lot of Smokes on the road and that just adds to it.

Minarets - Winter frost (white) and coral sand (tan) are the only two Maxima colors with which a black interior is not available.
The primary reason black is not available with these two colors is because Nissan cannot offer all interior colors with all exterior colors. The logistics make this impractical. Anyone here who has close connections with the auto manufacturing process understands this.
So, being limited to a few interior colors with each of the eight exterior colors, Nissan chose the shades best suited for each particular color.
White and tan are very strong sellers in hot climates, chosen by many as a defense against the heat. It only makes sense that the interior colors chosen for white and tan would be frost (light grey) and cafe latte (light brown).
In these two cases, I have no problem with Nissan's selections.
My last black car was a 1949 Studebaker. I could wash that car every morning, and, by sundown, it needed washing again. One could fry an egg on that car in less than one minute. I swore if I survived that furnace, I would NEVER buy another black car. And, in fact, I have never owned ANY dark colored car during the intervening half century plus.
Hence, although I really like the looks of black and smoke on the Maxima, and find the blue and red colors very well chosen (unlike many here, I feel the red opulence is the best red I have seen on a car; not 'marooney', not gawdy 'fire engine'; just perfect), I limited my choices to the liquid silver, winter frost, spirited bronze and coral sand.
I felt very comfortable with all four of these excellent colors, but eventually settled for silver, as I had enjoyed that color on many cars over many years.
But color is something each owner must decide for himself. After all, who here would want someone else selecting the best color for his suit? Or his spouse's hair?

Well guys... smoke is the color to really get the maxima's identity to show. The stock grille looks better on it, the chrome rainguards look great on it, and with charcoal gray tinted windows... I just bought the stillen body kit and the stillen big brake set (charcoal gray with red STILLEN letters on the calipers) and I know it's gonna be the best looking ride on the road here in Puerto Rico.... I laugh every time I see a TL owner looking at my car and thinking "damn it looks better, and it's cheaper"
