hard shifting... help!

I know that there has been a post before this one including details about hard shifting on the 5spd Auto, but i can't find it, and hopefully my own personal problem might spring up better answers than me trying to decide what the problem is.

my car recently has been shifting really hard and downshifting almost worse...
from first into second and sometimes into third upon flooring it somewhat the transmission seems to "miss" the next gear and then suddenly slams back into it.
i'm not exactly sure what the issue is, but it might end up resulting that i need to "re-program" my TCM??
i'm having the transmission flushed tomorrow (tuesday) and then going from there.

anyone have any thoughts on what i should consider doing about my "hard shifting" or what might be the problem to why it is doing this???

check the TSB. it states the VIN # and earlier ones that it applies to. If you have a late production, then you can't really use the TSB. have the dealer check it out either way. just be prepared to leave it over night. Maybe you'll be lucky and they find the problem, even luckier and they'll loan you a car.

my auto kinda shifts harder cold than when warm. but it's no biggie. a mechanic family member said it's been known for cars to act this way when cold b/c you're getting cold air. besides, it reminds me to take it easy while warming up.

however the car does shift hard when it's cold, but that's not the problem.
the car will be at normal operating temperature and still shift like a POS...
Dealer also told me that my car probably can't be flushed. i think that that's BS but i'm trying to get more knowledge from you guys to actually have somewhat of an intelligent conversation with the dealer. lol

any help still is great...

flush or not, if it does shift rough when warm, they need to fix it. It has been stated that a full tranny flush is not possible. even when you pay for a fluid change, they only drain a partial amount.

you should only remove them if you feel they can truly damage the parts they are related to. for example, if your altenator dies and you have aftermarket rims, there is absolutely no connection. aftermarket can only void the area it affects if it is proven to have caused the damage.

dealer said upon opening my hood that my "grounding kit" is probably the biggest cause of my hard shifting problem. i thought to myself that that was BS because the grounding kit was placed in to hopefully eliminate bad shifting.
i believe though that that may be a reason, but it's not entirely the problem, or cause....
im making them service the car "as soon as possible." the crappy thing about that is that "soon" is next week when they told me the day before that they would fix it that next day....
