Just a general question about rims on a 6th gen SE...
From personal experience...how does riding on 20's feel (physically, not emotionally) We all know that they look nice, but would you recommend them for daily driving 6-7months out of the year?

Maxxout, I hear you. thats why I stayed with 18's. I would have destroyed the 19's or 20s that I wanted. Brooklyn streets suck, same goes for the highways.
(Sorry for jacking this thread)

Give me a couple of weeks and I'll be able to tell you.

I'm not sure who else besides BLAXIMA2K4 is currently running 20s.

I run 20" rims and the ride is really not that bad. Have a SE also. I can not say what 22" would be like though.

The streets out here are pretty bad in Biloxi Mississippi, but I imagine not as bad as NY. I just slow down over the rail road tracks. I have hit some pretty bad pot holes, but so far rims are fine. They are pretty heavy chrome rims so that helps. Not like there are any lightweight 20" rims out there. When it comes to rims over 18".......you are not looking for light weight or performance.

Now....if you really want some 22" bling.....all flash and bring the cash....

Just another shot of something out there. I do not know the brand or info on the rim.

WOW!!! I think that those 22's fill the wheel gap very nice! Can't put those on over here in Jersey though, especially when I go to the city almost every other day....

Just looking at that pic, that guy must have like a 25 series tire!!! That's crazy!

I'm considering those wheels in 20"

They are TSW Carltons. Sharp wheel, but 22" is just too much for me.

I would think 22s would be a bit extreme but I've seen worse.

One of our Nissan dealerships regularly sells new cars that have already been customized. A few weeks back they had a Max on dubs. With that in mind, the 20s should not be a problem if you drive on streets that aren't a mess.

OT: They had an Armada on 24s with bars already on it a couple of months back too. That was the best looking Armada I have seen so far.

Sorry, no pics. I was in Delaware at a gas station and a guy with a 5th gen pulled up with 24" wheels. He said he had to have the car lifted. The thing looked like a 4x4.

like most things there certainly is a bell curve with rims appearance and/or performance wise. IMO 18 is at the top among 17-20 any further away and it gets ugly. 24 on a sedan is way to the right. come on, if you have to Raise it... seriously.

I think 20 is just about right on the Max. 22" do look a bit extreme. I have seen some cars on 24" out here, they do really look 4x4 ish.
Just my opinion though.
