how do you change the brakelight bulb?

Hey guys, my friend recently informed me my brake light was out so I was like ah fine whatever only a year old but **** happens.

So I went to pepboys and I'm almost sure they gave me the wrong bulb, but I couldn't find out because after I pulled off the carpeting in the trunk, I could not for the life of me see how to change the bulbs.

The only set of wires I saw look like they connected directly behind the reverse light bulb. There were these little nipples sticking out on the other side which might have been the other bulbs but I have no idea how they come out or where they are powered cuz they have no cables running to them.

Can someone inform me how to do this before I get pulled over lol.

Thanks in advance!

um, lights are under 3/36 warranty. have dealer do it just in cases the problem is bigger than the bulb.

if you're worried about being pulled over, just keep the spare on hand and say you're doing it or the dealer is tomorrow.

btw, our bulbs are listed in the manual.

You should be able to go to any dealer to have that fixed as long as you are still under warranty.
