Eyelids for 6th Gen?

Does anyone know if eyelids for the 6th gen are out there? I saw some on the photoshopped images, and they might look pretty good.

Sorry if this has been threaded before, im new to .org, I ran a search and didnt see anything.

Thanks- Jay

Someones selling them on ebay, I called the guy for a pic and he said he didnt have any. I asked him how they fit and how they looked. He said they look good and hes sold over 75 sets for the 6th gen max. I dug around in his selling history and found two sets in the last 6mo's. I emailed one of the guys and he said he didnt like them at all. He also said the seller wouldnt return any calls or emails. Im sure there will be other brands out there somewhere...

Hehehe, I saw that ad also. It looked like just a strip of tape from a graphics shop....come to think of it, I bet you could just go to a graphics shop and have them cut you a custom one close to body color for under 10 bucks. Would be a cheap and easy mod and easy to remove. On the BMW, they sold some ABS plastic ones that had to be painted making it a not so cheap mod.

Anyways....

Any photoshop guys out there?

They have carbon fiber, paintable, and vinyl eyelids for the max.

Granted this in not a Max headlight....but 79 bucks for that?

I have to first get a picture of how much we could actually cover up our headlights without messing with the function of them. I just can't imagine how it would look with eyebrows.

I guess a picture is worth a thousand words.

Would be sweet if the eyelids would make it look somewhat like the ........ quest. The quest headlights look nice on the maxima. Aggressive, that makes it look so nice.

Redmax, what would you make them out of? Plastic with adhesive?

I have to think a thin line, kind of like Boovilas pic above....in the matching color of course....would look pretty hot. I would buy them if they were quality.

Eyelids would look terrible on a 6th gen. You guys just don't have the proper headlight shape for eyelids to look decent.

I think its better to black out the headlight chrome. Kind of like the Cadillac CTS.

I was thinking of just getting some custom made. But i never got around to getting the shape i wanted. I did a edit to a previous photoshoped pic, if i can find it i'll post it. I think it looks mean.

I also tried the ebay guys and basically they didn't even have proof that they even had one for our year. The picture was of a 5th gen. I'll probably just wait till something really comes out.

I agree....nothing really to work with on the shape to use eyelids. So far, pointless as far as looks and function on the 6th gen. Headlight design is just not made for them. Just my opinion. I like the stock lights as is.....

I'd rather do the lids....smoking the headlights would make my car look to monotone being black already....

If anyones got the bizalls to smoke the inside of the headlights id liek to see it. I disagree about the eyelids...If they followed the line of the hood (inline with the gap between the fender and hood) and had a slight curve then met up at the hood line thats above the grille. This would cover the area over the foglamps, I think if it was high impact, shiny thick plastic with adhesive on it that didnt damage the lights when removed, It could look great.

Hey, how about eyelids AND blackening the chrome on the headlights? Is that too much?

I think those would take away from the look. Our lights just aren't the right shape for them. If our lights were more horizontal it would be a different story.

Those idiots, they should be arching the opposite way. Those make the car look like its raising its eyebrows! I always thought it would look cool if there was a black piece of plastic that continued the fender/hood gap, and had a radius curve above the fogs and tied into the hood/grille gap. The ebay one looks awful and whats that on there, tape? jeez

Ive got a friend that had overlays made for his Sentra. I went to the website and saw some pics of overlays for a 350z. Since they have vertical headlights like the Max, I was wondering what these would look like on the Max. What do you guys think? I already emailed him to see if its possible to have some made for the Max, just waiting for a response.
