H&R make sporings for the 6th gen. 1.4 drop in the front and 1.2 in the back.

You can find info at www.H&Rsprings.com

Stillen is selling these too. Havent checked with them yet to see if they are in stock though.

I was thinking of getting these. I still need to drop my Max, but the roads are just so bad in Houston, I already scrape as it is.

I wonder if a 1.4" drop vs a 2.0" drop would make that much of a difference though...

Anyone done a drop with something other than Eibach? Any advice would be appreciated.

I was thinking of getting the H&R and just installing the fronts. I had H&R on my 2003 max and they ride was very close to stock.

I would not recommend going with a 1.2in drop in the rear if your ever planning on going with bigger rims than the 18's. Just a thought...

1.2 rear drop? isn't the eibach's 2 front and .08 rear and it almost looks like the rear is still lower than the front.... 1.2 wow the wheel must tuck in the fender with factory 18's...

anybody agree.....

When I did measurements for Progress, we all agreed that the Eibach springs were close to what the drop should be to even it out. Ill keep all posted regarding Progress springs

I think you only need the 2in front drop on the eibachs, and thats it. When you put the rear on, its not even.

Bob, did you just drop the front on your 03?

I was thinking along the same lines, just dropping the front 1.4" Might save some $$ too on the install.

I had the H&R all around on my 03. The ride was very similar to the stock SE ride.

I talked to the guys at Progress and told them I want a stiffer ride and I want the gaps at the tires and fenders to be even. Lets see what they come up with.

Wouldnt there be some balancing issues if you only drop the front??

Is the spring coefficient different with aftermarket springs than stock? If so, then the ride would be unbalanced when hitting bumps wouldnt it??

I did this with my Max. I am running 20's on with just the 2in drop in the front stock in the back and it looks sooooo much better than with the rear eibachs on that I have seen on the forum.

If u stiffen the front and not the rear, ur gonna make the car understeer a lot. Even if you put on springs in the rear that dont lower the car, they will need to be stiffer to compensate for the stiffer front ones. Front wheel drive cars need rear stiffness to handle better.

So, any pictures yet? for the Eibach in the fronts only?

I have 20" rims, and I'm dropping my car with Eibach's this Saturday... I don't want my rear tires to tuck under the fenders now... Dropping 2" in the front should be perfect, but I'm kinda worried about the rear...

Any advice, or pictures, or should I just go ahead and install the Eibachs for both front and back? I know some of you already have Eibachs on both front and rear... Can you guys assist me?

I personally would not lower the rear end. Weather permitting, I will take some pictures of my car tomorrow and get someone on here to host them.

Im in the same boat Korean, except thinking of using H&R on the front only. 1.4 inch drop. No rear. Some seem to think dropping the front only would cause understeer (Dues) Anyone else care to chime in?

Your car's setup looks pretty good (I mean the lowered level). Do your rear tires tuck under the fender? What is the differential space between fender and tire for both front and back? Looks though the fronts still remain slightly higher than the rear... Any comments?

It is a little higher in the front but I wouldnt mismatch springs. The rear is almost tucked. With people in the back its definitely tucked.

How about the wearing of the rear tires? If they are almost or even slightly tucked in, I'm assuming inside of the tires are wearing out more than the outside?

You need to host the pics on the web first and then link to them like this:

and remove all of the spaces.

don't go to cardomain is too slow and you can only upload one pic at the time, go to photobucket.com and sign up for free. its simple. once you have pics uploaded there is going to be 3 links under every pic, copy the last that starts with and paste it here and you are set... here you can upload 19 pics at the time way faster...

I use photobucket too.

I usually click on the pic that i want to post.

Once the pic is open:

1. Right click on the pic
2. Select: Properties
3. Highlight the Address (url)
4. Copy the address

Okay back to the maxima.org

5. click on "Reply" or "New Thread"
6. Insert the pic info (copied as mnetioned above) into your post like this:
Copy exactly as mentioned but remove the spaces.

Complete your post. The pic should now show up.

If you can't figure it out...post the link to your page andwe can post the pic for you.
good luck...Bob
