Best place for cross drilled/slotted rotors?

The dealership called me and said i need new front brakes. I want an aftermarket rotor. Looking for a place that has a resonable price? any recommendations and also what pads with ur setup?

Thanks in advance

Maxx, have you had any problems with those? I was looking at those, it seems cheap I can get a set for both my Max and my Murano for under 500.00...? I was curious of the quality and longevity of their products. Please respond... Mike

hope they are good just ordered them and ceramic axxis pads shipped to my door for 380 some bucks but then i saw another auction where i called and got the same type of zinc platted rotors with hawk pads for 292 dollars shipped to my door. So i called Ri concepts and gonna haggle about the price.

I was gonna get the black rotors but they mentioned it does wear off

Southwestautoworks.com now carries rotora rotors. I have heard these are pretty nice. I also know theres a member on the .org that can get RTP rotors for our cars.

i called F1 back yesterday about the price difference with a competitor and he said he would match the price but then told that the rotors they sold me are a better quality then the ones offered from the competitor, plus they supply that competitor with the cheaper rotors. Not bad for $360 for all new brakes

I think I'm ready for new brakes as well, I don't know much about brakes and I know I don't want to spend a lot of $$$ right now. I was thinking just to have the stock ones re-done but I so want to upgrade. Just want to do it right...

Deus, do you know of any places that would good to go to around here for brakes?

Why don't you give Autobacs a call... I'm not sure about their pricings, but their place is huge, with full service aftermarket installations. I know they do brakes, but not sure how much... Phone # is 714-903-9900

i have my eye on stillen ap racing brakes - but $2500 for brakes - oooh that hurts!! I think we can do better. I really believe in the lightweight 2 piece rotors. Reduced unsprung weight big time!!!! And I love those giant red calipers under the rim. And Im sure the brake well too, hehe.

Matt93se posted a thread not to long ago about making some 2 piece rotors but there was not much interest because it was 600 for the front set. I think it would be great for performance and also because he said they will not warp. Said it was the rotors that nascar and many others use. I want some, but theres no demand.

If you plan on upgrading the size. I dont have the money for that and we already have a pretty big rotor. I will be satisfied with better rotors, pads, ss lines and some nice fresh fluid.

seems to be the resident org rotor guy. hope he gets them for us too. for his prices, i wouldn't mind getting a set and holding them until I needed them.

edit**
pm him for 04 rotors. he has them available. check the classifieds/dealer/etc forums. he has excellent reviews.

NismoMax80: I talked to him through a few PMs because I was interested a while back. He just recently told me had the products. I believe he has front and rear RTP rotors for us, Axis pads I think, and SS lines. I need new rotors and pads and I plan on upgrading everything at once, I just havent had the cash and probably wont for another month if not more. Hes definately a good guy on the .org though.

ramberg: Did your rotors come in the original box? Im just curious because to my knowledge, Brembo does not make rotors for the 04-05 maxima yet.

No they did not. When they sent them to the factory to get zinced they shipped them back in regular cardboard boxes. As far as I know a few guys on Cardomain have the same rotors and we are asured that these are Brembo rotors. If you know for sure that they are not please let me know. Thanks Ramberg

I am 100% sure that brembo doesn't offer rotors for your year, acturlly from 02 + no brembo rotors except Rear since 95-03 share the same rear.

THis company in Long beach selling fake Brembo rotors all over the internet, engrave Brembo on the rotors, without the BREMBO LOGO. couple people I know already notified brembo about this, and maybe, just maybe you got that rotor.....

According to the Brembo US distributor, they DO NOT make rotors for our cars. If that's what you think you bought, you got screwed!!!!

I spoke to Brian where I brought my rotors. He explained that they buy the blanks from Brembo. Brembo only has sloted or drilled rotors. His company makes the rotors drilled/sloted.They also Zinc the rotors for free. He has a one year warranty on their product. Brian is also going to change the wording on e-bay. I have not have had any problems with my rotors and they look good. Later Warren

Ok...Brembo doesn't make rotors for 2004-5 Maxima. But "they" buy the Brembo blanks. What blanks are they buying? They must be saying that some other car has the exact same rotors as the 2004-5 Maxima. I seriously doubt that.

I think you have caught them in a lie and they are now scrambling.

No matter what, their advertisinig is false (and knowlingly so) ...so why would anyone trust them after that?

Ramberg - you got taken. Your rotors may be decent, but they are NOT Brembo, and they are NOT what you paid for. If I were you I'd demand my money back, and/or take them to small claims court. They cheated you!!!!

I called Brembo customer service at 1-800-325-3994 and was told that they sell blanks and the buyer is not supposed to use the Brembo name when reselling them and they are aware of the problem. Later Warren

the company you bought it from sold you a set of Brembo xdrill/slotted rotors, and they claim they drill it from brembo blank. But the thing is brembo doesn't even make BLANKS for your year. The company you bought it from bascilly lie to you about the rotor, even if they are decent rotors they are not brembo. And yes you should definilty take some actions towards them.

Good luck on everything, if you need any professional advice on rotors infomrations etc, I have all those and I am willing to help.
