Maxima617 thread

well today i was feeling lazy and didnt wanna wash my car w/ my hose... i thought i would be faster to just go to those 24/7 car wash thingies and wash off the dirt w/ high pressured hoses. soo i did that and dried it... i think some water went into my greddy's... now i started it up and it sounded louder but nice... my friend says my y-pipe is breaking in... could the water had caused this?... will anything break?

i dont think the water would cause it, it would be either blown out when started up or evaporated with the temp of the exhaust.

Sweet...Im currently lookin for a job to put my bachelors to work...its slow goin, but when i get something better I'll certainly be thinkin of the max and posting whatever I do on here. This forum is so much better than freshalloy.com. all those ppl did was complain about things, very few mods.

oh it happened already... after my 1st one... fresh outta the shop, went to the beach, when i came back some gangstas decided to tag my car soo... i had to paint it over after i got my bodykit soo it will all match... and now for the 3rd time because my rear bumper... see the problem w/ this paint is that you have to paint it all the same way or it wont go. for example... if u closly look to my pics. my mirrors weren't correctly painted so looks a lil bit darker. but its not really noticeable unless u been told or sumthing

Man I hate that $hit, ppl need to get a life and have some respect. I had a 96 silver taurus in HS and (after breaking up with my gf,coincidentally enough) was keyed really bad (down to the metal) on one whole side of the car. I still dont know who did it or why....it was in a lot when I was at work. I wanted to kill someone! Are those scrapes on the front from the suspention being too low and hitting a bump? Whats it like on airbags? What was the stock color?

scrapes are from before i had air ride... that y i got it really... the ride depends on how much air u leave in the bags... filled up all the way, u feel everything every little bump... and if u drop it too low ull end up w/ no bumper... i got the controler programed so it goes to that perfect level where it feel lke a luxury car no bump no nothing... corneing suck now... but u get used to it... and i got the majestic blue stock and i painted it 2 weeks later.

Yeah ya never know when you're really gonna need that cash...but...at 17, WHO CARES? Keep doing stuff to your max cuz I like looking at it! If It was up to me, I'd do a black/silver illusion paint, if there is such a thing. If there were fender flares for this car (like an M3) that would be a great addition. Id lower it, and get a Koni adjustable suspention setup, 3 piece 19" HRE or BBS rims black w/chrome 3" lip. Raced out.

i don't think the lambo doors will look right on a sedan. i might change my mind after seeing it, but i think suicide doors would look better. my 2 cents

Theres a 5th gen on CarDomain that has the Lambo doors. I have to admit they look pretty cool, but at $3k.... OUCH.

I also wonder about the fit, and how well they keep. Hmmm

I take it the gauges weren't that hard then? I'm an idiot when it comes to doing it myself, is it worth it to give it a shot or should i just wait till my car goes in the shop and have them do everything at once.

Euro Gauges

I personally like these better except for one thing. I don't like the ring in the middle, if that was gone i'd definatly slap these on instead of the others. Gives it a little more sportier look i think.
